What Happened?

They say a boat is a hole in the water that you throw your money in, and there came a point where I just could not afford to keep it and sold it for a song. In all honesty, it was the most uncomfortable, seasickening, and miserable thing that I just absolutely loved doing. Even now, several years later, I want to get back out there, but I have learned a few things along the way.
1) If you want to go anywhere, you can’t have a job that you need to get back to.
2) The boat was nice, but I needed something with more headroom and space. The boat was fine for what I could do with it, weekend sailing, and it was a great learning boat, but I want more. More also means more money and expenses, which I do not have at this point in my life.
So my plan now is to save up, invest for retirement, and hopefully have enough for a full-time liveabord and then have the time to actually sail it and go places.
So until then. . .
